So I was supposed to do this everyday, but I have missed the last 2.. but just like my theory on dieting I am going to pick up where I left off and not dwell on the fact that I screwed up :)
Gratitude
1) that I am finally over being sick
2) That I continue to see and feel differences in my body.... good ones
3) that no matter how good it was I really don't need him anymore
Good stuff
I love IHOP... we went & ate there since I was "too sick" to go to work... it was wonderful. I don't eat like that anymore, and it was a fabulous treat to order a breakfast that could feed an army. And it is one of the few things that I have given up that when I have gone back for a taste was just as good as always.
Exercise
got back on track yesterday, walked a mile & a half then did crunches and weights... not a full workout but a good start after being sick :)
Good Deeds
Working on my friends daughters school valentines..having a blast! she will have the best valentines EVER!!
Medatation
this one eludes me still, just not sure what to write so I think I am going to giving up trying to write about it...

Day 3
Day 3 may be a bigger challenge.. I have a throat infection and feel awful, but I will keep this up!
Gratitude
1) Antibiotics
2) The healing power of honey
3) Pho
Good thing that happened...
uuuummm even though I feel like crap it was nice to spend my day laying around watching movies with my friend Sarah, who is also sick.
Exercise
well I got up to change the movie or go to the bathroom... today that counts
Meditation
I have been zombie like all day so I think that was covered too

Day 2
Well I had planned to write in the mornings but today that wasn't gonna happen... so late afternoon it is.
So here goes
Grateful for
1) To have people in my life who love me even when I'm crazy & selfish
2) To have found someone who reminds me of the good in myself and stops me when I focus on the bad
3) That I finally get to live my life for myself instead of others
Good thing that happened
I had the best day with my friend Sarah... we didn't really do anything special, ran some errands, did a little shopping. But it has been a long time since we have been able to just hang out and do nothing stuff together. I hadn't realized how much I missed her til today :)
Workout
Well once again I didn't workout I went out last nite & was too hung over this morning to even consider any kind of exercise.
Meditate
Still trying to figure this one out and if it is even something I can blog about also it seems like I fall asleep when I try to .
Acts of kindness
I swept the bar for sarah last nite at closing... I am having trouble with this one too, more writing it that doing it. I try to do nice things whenever I can but I don't really make note of them.
Well it seems like this is working, 2 days can't really show anything but I do believe I am making more of an effort to be positive and because I know I am writing this all down I am thinking about it even more :)

Be Happy :)
Yesterday I watched a video on TED.com about how if you are happy you will be more successful rather than success making you happy. It really made me think about how I want to be a happier person and hopefully more successful as well. So they have found that there steps you can take to retrain your brain to be more positive.
1) 3 gratitudes - 3 new things for 21 days you are grateful for.
2) Journal daily about something good that has happened in the past 24hrs
3)Exercise
4)Meditate
5) Random acts of kindness daily
So for the next 21days I am going to try this out here and see how it goes. I have attempted to embed the video at the bottom of the blog... hopefully it works.
Day 1
Gratitude
1- for my husbands ability to deal with my craziness
2- that I have finally found a way to lose weight & not feel like I'm dieting
3- all of our bill will be paid this week
Good thing that happened-
Lat night I slept, which may not seem so great but it was wonderful!.. I generally wake up at 430 every morning, if I am lucky I fall back asleep till 630( I have no good reason to be up that early). This morning I didn't get up til 630 to go to the bathroom and then went back to sleep til 8am. For a change I actually feel like I got a good nites sleep. It is a fabulous feeling to not be tired in the morning.
Exercise
I had planned to walk with my husband this morning (I usually work out 2 or 3 times a week) but I have a nail appointment this morning and won't have time.
Meditate
this one I will have to work on for tomorrow ... hmmm
Kindness
I will also be working on this for tomorrow. I can't think of anything especially kind I have done in the last 24hrs
In a week we will see if I notice any improvement in my outlook :) Wish me luck!
